We’re doing Christmas a little differently this year!

At this time of year, we would usually give our clients Christmas Gifts such as wine and chocolates...

However, this Christmas our management team has decided that as 2020 has been rather challenging, we wanted to donate this money to two charities close our hearts – FareShare and The Lucy Rayner Foundation

The Lucy Rayner Foundation aims to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of depression and mental health challenges, especially in young adults, and to facilitate change in the way mental health is being perceived by society.

“Our Mission is to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of physical and mental ill-health in young people”.

FareShare has gained lots of attention recently due to Marcus Rashford‘s fundraising efforts and we understand why. FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 17 independent organisations. They take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to almost 11,000 frontline charities and community groups.

“We believe that no good food should go to waste. We redistribute surplus food to charities that turn it into meals. We are a community, and we change lives”.

We would love to be able to raise enough money for at least 10,000 meals and a hundred 1-2-1 counselling sessions, so fingers crossed! We have started the fundraising initiative off with an initial donation which is the equivalent of 5,000 meals and fifty 1-2-1 counselling sessions, and hope you’ll join us with doing something a little different this Christmas.

The fundraising will continue until Monday 21st December 2020 and then the money will be split 50 / 50 and sent directly to both charities by Virgin Giving.
